The German Automobile Inspection Agency (KBA) has discovered a technical defect in the starter relay of some BMW models in its latest assessment that could lead to water ingress and ultimately a fire. Following the report, BMW has initiated a recall of more than 189,000 sedans produced between 2014 and 2020 to fix the problem free of charge.
