Wizz Air increases capacity from major European bases to support Middle East passengers
In response to the current airspace restrictions across parts of the Middle East, Wizz Air has moved to increase capacity from key European bases to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, from this Friday (6 March). As a precautionary measure, flights to and from Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Amman and Saudi Arabia remain suspended up to and including 7 March. Wizz Air is significantly expanding its capacity to Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt. From Friday 52 weekly flights are scheduled to fly to the Egyptian bathing resort – so far it has been 24. The airline is responding to the interruption of Middle East air traffic as a result of the Iran war.
