Mooresville mayor disputes census claim of population decline

Mooresville Mayor Chris Carney is challenging new U.S. Census estimates showing the Lake Norman town lost nearly 2% of its population last year. Citing rising utility accounts and continued in-migration, Carney says the town is still growing despite efforts to curb overdevelopment.
