For the second time this year, the National Monument has been the target of vandalism. The police have arrested two men. Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema speaks of "vandalism".
Two people have been arrested for the vandalism of the National Monument on Dam Square in Amsterdam on Sunday morning. Among other things, the texts 'Stop the human traffic' and 'Time to wake up!' were written in blue on the monument. Next to the texts, a blue skull was applied, along with text in yellow. The individuals involved are a 27-year-old man from Hoofddorp and a 39-year-old man from Poland, police report.
