MONROE, N.C. – A Monroe Police Officer who was shot in the line of duty is now back on the job. Officer Madison Sweatt went back to work on Monday. Sweatt was shot three times on May 31st; one bullet went into her shoulder, one went in and out and the third grazed her head. The shooter, 18-year-old Joshua Sikes, led officers on a chase.
