Mom of 3 Dies After Large Tree Crushes Her SUV While She Was Driving on Highway
Authorities are investigating whether weather or tree damage caused the collapse that killed Bridget Reagan, a mother of three and Minerva shop owner.
On Saturday, Bridget Reagan, a 35-year-old mother and business owner, died after a tree fell onto her Jeep Wagoneer while she drove west on US Route 30 in Paris Township.
Ohio State Highway Patrol investigators are examining the tree's condition and weather factors to determine the cause; Johnnie Maier stated the accident appeared to be an 'act of God.'
Reagan owned Chic Haven, a boutique awarded Outstanding Small Business last year, where Nate Meadows of the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce called her a 'driving force' who 'made Minerva a better place.'
Community members plan to gather for a vigil in front of Chic Haven on Tuesday at 7 p.m., while a GoFundMe campaign has launched to assist her three children.
Tributes continue pouring in for the dedicated mother, with Meadows noting, 'It's unfathomable to think about how the kids are handling this,' as friends and family remember her devotion to her loved ones.
