The international trade of the Republic of Moldova registered a trade balance deficit of over 970 million euros in the first two months of this year. Exports of goods amounted to 550.4 million euros, and imports - almost three times more, or over 1 billion 520 million euros.
Exports of goods from the Republic of Moldova increased by 7.8% in February in January and by 10.5% in comparison with the same month in the previous year. During the first two months of the year, major markets for Moldovan products were Romania, Turkey and Italy, transmitting IPN.
Moldova's exports have registered an increase since the beginning of 2026, but remain well below the level of imports, which continue to dominate foreign trade. According to data presented by the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-February, exports amounted to approximately 550.4 million euros, up 11.6% compared to the same period in 2025.
