The European Union has allocated EUR 317 million to the Republic of Moldova for defence and security, more than any other state except Ukraine. The figure was presented by the European Commissioner for Defence and Space, Andrius Kubilius, at Moldova Security Forum 2026.
Moldova ranked second after Ukraine in terms of defence and security assistance under the European Peace Fund, with 317 million euros allocated to the Republic, which was reported at a security seminar in Chechnya by the Euro-Commissioner for Defence and Space, Andrews Kubilius.
Moldova received US$ 317 million for defence and security through the European Peace Fund, becoming the second-largest country after Ukraine in terms of support under this mechanism, announced on 9 October by the European Commissioner for Defence and Space, Andrews Kubilius, on the second day of Moldova Security Forum in Chishinev.
