- Responding to the vandalism, Mo Naseem, National Secretary of the National Ulama Council, condemned it as an attempt to distort history and warned of protests if the August 11 program is not halted.
- Ahead of Janmashtami, VHP state vice president Virendra Pandey said the site should be cleaned for August 16 celebrations and noted plans to perform puja today.
