[Miyako Island] The Miyako Island Churaumi Liaison Council (Representative Director: Tsuyoshi Tomiya), comprised of marine leisure operators, recently established the Yaebishi Committee to unify the rules for using Yaebishi, one of the largest coral reef groups in Japan, located 5 kilometers northeast of Ikema Island. With the area expected to become a national park in the future, an increase in operators is anticipated.
