Uzbekistan's President Mirziyoyev announced that during its chairmanship of the CIS in 2027, priority will be given to industrial cooperation, new technologies, transportation, security, education, and human resources. A plan with over 100 points was unveiled at the meeting in Avaza, and the summit will be held in Bukhara in 2027.
At the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to expand cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, transport and energy, ensure food security, create a joint center against cybercrime in Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan will assume the presidency of the Commonwealth next year.
The President of Uzbekistan emphasized the need to bring trade and investment partnership to a new level. He noted the need for a long-term forecast for the development of the region's energy connectivity over the next 10 years.
