After a heated exchange with a few residents, the Minnehaha County commissioners on Tuesday approved an extra paid holiday on Dec. 26 for its more than 600 employees. The 26th this year falls on Friday, the day after Christmas Day which is a paid holiday as well as a half-day off on Christmas Eve day.
