A joint ministerial decision provides for a 12-month suspension of any enforcement action, such as auctions and seizures, for individuals and businesses affected by the fires of July and August 2026.
The suspension includes, among others, auctions, seizures, evictions and personal arrests, as well as the suspension of deadlines for the exercise of legal remedies relating to pending enforcement proceedings. Only claims for maintenance are excluded.
The regulation is part of the framework of support for those affected and financial relief for residents and businesses affected by the summer fires.
