Romania will take steps within a few hours to strengthen the country's drone defense, says Prime Minister Ilie Boloyan. To do so, it will utilize the SAFE program, a European fund intended to quickly provide member states with loans to expand their defense.

Interim Defence Minister Radu Miruța announced the signing of a new military supply contract through the European SAFE programme.
The Ministry of National Defence has signed with the German company Quantum Systems the contract for the provision of the system "Mini UAS class I", within the SAFE programme approved by Parliament, thus continuing the process of modernization of the surveillance and recognition capabilities of the Romanian Army, writes the Monitor of Defense and Security.
