Turkey Inflation Eases To 29.73%, Lowest In Nearly 5 Years
Turkey's consumer price inflation moderated in September to the lowest level in nearly five years. Consumer price inflation slowed to 29.73 percent in September from 31.51 percent in August. The annual price growth in food and non-alcoholic beverages eased to 27.62 percent from 33.79 percent. Producer price inflation softened to an 8-month low of 27.38 percent in September from 27.95 percent.

Turkish official data today showed that Turkey ' s annual inflation rate fell last September to 29.73 percent.
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, commenting on the September Consumer Price Index (CPI) data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), said, "Annual inflation has fallen below 30 percent for the first time in 57 months (November 2021). Disinflation is spreading across the board, excluding transportation."
