KLM and its home base at Schiphol Airport suffered significant reputational damage this week after over 3,500 cancellations caused by severe winter weather, according to caretaker Infrastructure Minister Robert Tieman (BBB).Speaking before the start of the ministerial council, Tieman said he believes an evaluation is necessary to ensure Schiphol learns from the disruptions. "We must assess what happened so the airport can draw lessons," he said.
