In order to prevent grain from the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine being transported through Lithuania in transit, Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture Kēstutis Mažeika has issued an order to check the origin of all grain imported from Russia and Belarus, the Ministry of Agriculture announced.

Lithuania will verify the origin of all the grains that are in transit from Rossi and Belarus. The checks will extend to forage and food grains. "A single inspection should cover all grain shipments from Russia and Belarus, regardless of their destination. We must ensure that our country's infrastructure is not used to transit stolen Ukrainian grains."

In order to prevent the transit of grain potentially stolen from the occupied territories of Ukraine through Lithuania, Kęstutis Mažeika, Minister of Agriculture, ordered the verification of the origin of all grain transported from Russia and Belarus.
