Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin stated that seven ministries have prepared a joint action plan against violence and peer bullying in schools, and that they will present a different solution to the public starting in February.

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, commenting on current events, spoke about the increasing incidents in schools and answered questions regarding whether compulsory education would be shortened.

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin made critical statements about the education system during his live broadcast. Pointing to the length of the 12-year compulsory education period, Minister Tekin gave a new regulation message, saying that “the issue of shortening compulsory education will definitely be raised in the coming period.”
