Akın Gürlek revealed the name of the person he requested be extradited from Greece during a video conference call with his counterpart Yorgos Floridis. While judicial cooperation and the fight against organized crime were also discussed between the two countries, Gürlek requested the extradition of the leader of the "Baygara" group.

It was learned that Ramazan Bayğara, who staged a riot in prison while awaiting extradition to Türkiye, has appealed to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
