President Donald Trump said he would lift sanctions on Turkey after the US Congress passed legislation requiring Turkey to give up the Russian S-400 defense system in exchange for F-35s.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, addressing the CAATSA sanctions and the F-35 procurement issue, said, "As long as this will exists, both leaders and we, as ministries, are taking appropriate steps to resolve these issues. Hopefully, we will reach a conclusion soon; I don't think there will be any problems in this regard."
