Residents in Renfrew County and Pontiac County can expect to see troops from the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) training in several area communities over the next week.

Military training underway and coming up in Renfrew County and the Pontiac

Residents are advised that personnel from the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command will be conducting routine training in Renfrew County and the Pontiac Regional County Municipality in the coming days.  Affected areas include: Garrison Petawawa and surrounding area May 22 to 23; Portage-du-Fort and Chenaux Dam May 26 to 27; Cobden, Davidson, and Petawawa May 27 to 28; and Oiseau Rock / Migizi Kiishkaabikaan forest, including travel on the …
