According to Iran's official news agency IRNA, two separate armed attacks were carried out in Sistan and Baluchestan province: one targeting a minibus carrying soldiers on a shift change, and another targeting a police patrol vehicle. Two people were killed in the attacks; no information was given about the attackers.

Public relations with the 88th Armoured Brigade of the Iranian Army Land Forces announced that a minibus carrying members of the force stationed on the coast of McCrane had been the subject of an armed attack hours earlier.
