Mikel Arteta Insists His Conscience Is Clear over Man City Rule Breaches
Arteta declined to discuss the case in detail and urged respect for the appeal as Manchester City face more than 100 financial rule breaches.
On Friday, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta insisted he has a "clear conscience" regarding his time at Manchester City, following the club's guilty verdict for serious financial breaches.
An independent commission found that City operated a "disguised funding scheme" over nine seasons from 2009/10 to 2017/18, artificially inflating their revenues by more than £900 million.
Arteta, who worked under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium for three years, repeatedly declined to comment on the verdict, emphasizing the need to "respect the process."
City have launched an appeal against the commission's findings, with manager Enzo Maresca insisting the club's success has not been "tainted."
