Shooting in ŠId: A Migrant Was Killed in an Exchange of Fire with the Police

A migrant has been killed after illegal migrants in Serbia shot at police during increased movement control in the area between Šid and the border with Croatia.

One illegal migrant was killed in an exchange of fire with police officers from the Border Police Directorate who were exercising increased control over the movement of migrants in the area between Šid and the border with Croatia, the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) announced.

The Ministry of the Interior announced that this evening, during increased control of the movement of migrants in the area between Šid and the border with Croatia, irregular migrants fired at the police with firearms, resulting in the death of one illegal migrant, while four people were detained at the scene, and several escaped and are being sought.
