Between Oostduinkerke and Middelkerke, five boats carrying a total of 200 migrants were intercepted last night and this morning. The police have already been able to escort the boats towards French waters. Governor Carl Decaluwé of West Flanders has activated the provincial emergency plan "as a precaution".
