The ex-Maeutician appeared before the Herault Criminal Court for crimes committed under cover of medical actions. The sentence handed down this Friday adds to a previous sentence of 12 years in prison in 2021.
The criminal court of the Hérault followed the prosecution's request by finding Lionel Charvin guilty of "sexual offences by violence, threat, coercion or surprise" on six women, with aggravating circumstances.
Lionel Charvin worked as a Liberal and in a clinic in Montpellier until 2016.
He was tried in Montpellier for the rape of six women. He had already been sentenced in 2021 to 12 years in prison for 11 rapes on patients.
