Voting to determine next Midway mayor continues
Early voting in the runoff between council members Malcolm Williams and Stanley Brown began Monday, and 56 people cast their ballots. Early voting will be held today from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Ballots can be cast at either the Liberty County Board of Elections and Registration, Suite 1600 in the historic Liberty County Courthouse at 100 N. Main Street in Hinesville, or at the Liberty County Community Complex at 9397 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Midway.

Brown says in a campaign flyer that Williams is too closely allied with county officials, while Williams says in a video he posted to Facebook that he voted against the new fire department because the city couldn’t afford it.
