Sinners Star Michael B. Jordan Jokes About Leaving Hollywood Behind to Focus on Making Anime
Michael B. Jordan stars on the cover of American Vogue after winning an Oscar for his dual performance as twin brothers Smoke and Stack in the 2025 film Sinners.
Jordan is a huge anime fan who took direct influence from series like Hajime no Ippo and Megalo Box when choreographing fights for the Creed franchise.
In an interview with Vogue reporter Kelefa Sanneh, Jordan revealed he has anime projects in early stages of development and jokingly said, "I might just quit it all and make anime the rest of my life."
Jordan is simultaneously working on a Miami Vice reboot alongside actor Austin Butler, a Battlefield movie with director Christopher McQuarrie, and producing a Creed spin-off called Delphi.
The Vogue spread emphasizes the cultural significance of being a Black man on the cover of American Vogue, featuring stylist Carlos Nazario and photographer Luis Alberto Rodriguez.
