Miami-Dade commissioners have passed legislation to try to stop scalpers from obtaining Department of Motor Vehicle appointments.

The Miami-Dade commissioners passed an ordinance to try to prevent resellers from getting appointments at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera declared on Tuesday that the ordinance was unanimously passed to combat the illegal resale of appointments, with fines of up to $500 for each violation.
