MGI Tech and Shanghai AI Laboratory Unveil ProtoPilot and BioLab Bench, Pioneering Physical AI for Life Sciences

On Sunday, Genoria AI, a subsidiary of MGI Tech, launched ProtoPilot and BioLab Bench in collaboration with the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, establishing a new paradigm for Physical AI in life sciences.
Genoria AI CEO Dr. Yang Meng designed ProtoPilot as a self-evolving system that learns from failure, integrating design, protocol generation, device execution, and wet-lab feedback across the entire experimental lifecycle.
BioLab Bench measures whether agents execute tasks on physical equipment, not just generate "correct answers." ProtoPilot achieved 52.38% on ProtocolQA, approaching the 54% human expert level.
Established in April 2026, Genoria AI leverages MGI Tech's hardware infrastructure and real-world deployment expertise gained from over 3,800 users globally, enabling rapid scaling.
