The Government of Mexico reported that it maintains “pointless and permanent” follow-up on the situation of Mexican citizens travelling aboard the Global Flotilla Sumud, intercepted by the Israeli army as it headed for the Gaza Strip. According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), Roberto Velasco Álvarez, the Mexicans detained were already transferred to Israeli territory, where they will later be taken to a detention centre.
