- On Thursday, LEGO revealed a new Lego Editions collection featuring minifigures and detailed sets of football stars Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, and Vini Jr. ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
- With the FIFA World Cup just 70 days away, the company launched these builds to celebrate the careers of the four icons and offer fans unique ways to commemorate their favorite players' history.
- The collection includes Football Highlights sets, larger Football Legend builds containing over 850 pieces, and a 1,427-piece Celebration wall art set for Messi, each featuring hidden career references and signature poses.
- Pre-Orders are open now, with sets shipping from May 1. "The idea of these is to make the ultimate collectible football highlight," said Lego designer Luka Grkovi.
- These releases expand the Lego Editions line, which already includes sports and fashion recreations. The success of these designs suggests potential for further celebrity-themed collectibles, though Lego has not confirmed future expansion plans.
