A man attacked a 24-year-old passerby at Yppenplatz in Vienna-Ottakring on the early Friday afternoon with a knife. The victim was stabbed in the neck. The injury was not life-threatening, said police spokesman Anna Gutt. The perpetrator fled in an unknown direction. Witnesses chose the emergency call. The Viennese professional rescue provided the 24-year-old with emergency medical care and delivered him to a hospital.
