The City of Mérida has launched the organization of the markets of Roman atmosphere of Emerita Lvdica, which this year will celebrate its XVI edition from 18 to 24 May 2026. The consistory seeks to recreate, with the “maximum historical rigor”, the role that the markets had in the old Augusta Emerita, when they were considered authentic shopping centers of the Antiquity where the daily life was concentrated.
