IIT Bombay had five Scheduled Caste professors, six OBC professors and no Scheduled Tribe professor among 412 professors as of September, according to RTI data accessed by Hindustan Times. The figures have renewed questions about faculty representation despite a special recruitment drive. The institute also had 450 vacant teaching posts.
