- Mercedes-AMG revealed the first-ever electric CLA45, powered by a trio of axial-flux motors producing 671 horsepower. The new performance sedan replaces the previous internal-combustion second-generation CLA45.
- The new vehicle is said to be "faster, more agile, and even more fun to drive" than its predecessor, launching to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds—a full second quicker than the previous generation.
- Equipped with a 94-kWh battery, the sedan delivers 416 miles of range, while the Shooting Brake manages 398 miles. The 800-volt technology recharges from 10 to 80% in 22 minutes at peak power.
- A representative for Mercedes-AMG confirmed the new CLA45 EV will not be sold in the United States. American buyers must rely on other available electric CLA-class options instead.
- Inside, the vehicle features fourth-generation MBUX with AI integration and AMG-specific apps including AMG Track Pace. Exterior enhancements include active rear spoilers and a 24mm wider track differentiating the electric model.
