Roger McQueen is leaving the WHL for the NCAA. Providence College announced Wednesday that the Anaheim Ducks prospect will join its men’s hockey team for the 2024-25 season. Drafted 10th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in June, McQueen becomes the first top-10 pick — and sixth first-rounder overall — to join Providence’s program. PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey has added forward Roger McQueen (Saskatoon, Sask.) to the 2025-26 roster after his signing of an athletic aid agreement to attend the College. Selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round with the 10th overall pick of the 2025 NHL Draft, McQueen becomes the first top-10 draft pick and sixth overall first-round pick in program history.
