Men charged with kidnap after teenage girl forced into car in West Midlands

West Midlands Police charged two men with kidnap after a teenage girl was forced into a car on Ladypool Road, and Mohammed Ali, 49, and Luqman Ali, 20, were remanded to appear before city magistrates on Monday, October 13.
A teenage girl was forced into a car on Ladypool Road on Saturday at around 4pm, but passersby stopped the vehicle, allowing her to escape into a nearby shop.
Police say the suspects were arrested at the scene, CCTV from Ladypool Road shows a woman bundled into a car at about 4pm, and Mohammed Ali faces false imprisonment and assault charges.
West Midlands Police said the teenage girl is now being spoken to by specialist officers and confirmed `We are aware of misinformation circulating about the incident, and so we are confirming that the suspects and victim are of British Asian heritage`, urging witnesses to call 101, quoting 20/406171/25.
The suspects are from Netherton, West Midlands, and local reports and police statements confirm the charged pair are a father-and-son.
