Memphis Police say crime is down across the city

Despite comments on the national stage, thrusting Memphis crime into the spotlight, Memphis Police continue to claim that crime is down across the city compared to last year.

Crime continues to fall this year, MPD says

“While the data tells one part of the story, what matters is that people in our neighborhoods are starting to feel the difference in their homes,” Memphis Police Department Chief C.J. Davis said.
