City announces Memorial Day schedule

OTTUMWA — Most City of Ottumwa offices will be closed for the Memorial Day Holiday on Monday, with a number of changes in regular services.

There will be a Memorial Day service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pine Church, Canoe Ridge.

Post 71 American Legion to host Memorial Day service

THS students work to prepare flags for the cemetery this Memorial Day weekend. Everyone is welcome to come out and help place flags on graves Friday at 4:30. (Photo provided) Post 71 American Legion will have a service at the IOOF Cemetery at 10 a.m. we encourage everyone to join us in remembering those that paid the ultimate price for our country. The speaker will be Lt. Col. (Ret.) Frank Horton.
