- Five defendants were arrested Tuesday, while five others were already in state or federal custody. All 10 defendants face maximum sentences of life imprisonment for conspiracy and distribution charges.
- U.S. Attorney David Metcalf described the arrests as a "decapitation" of a conspiracy, stating, "The investigation is ongoing and there will more arrests to come." The operation targeted Mexican cartel supply chains.
