Melbourne double murder charges
A 34-year-old man charged in a targeted attack that killed a pregnant woman and her partner, with police investigating possible links to graffiti found at the crime scene.
- On Monday, police charged Ross Judd, 34, with two counts of murder after discovering the bodies of Athena Georgopoulos, 39, and Andrew Gunn, 50, at Adrienne Crescent in Mount Waverley.
- Suspecting a targeted assault, Detective Inspector Dean Thomas said officers believed the man charged was known to them and linked to the Mount Waverley property.
- Athena Georgopoulos was five months pregnant, and it has been reported Mr Gunn was decapitated in the alleged killings.
- Following his charge, Judd will face court on Wednesday, and the case has been adjourned to January next year.
- Homicide Squad detectives will investigate whether graffiti reading 'karma', 'betrayal' and 'enough is enough' found on the Adrienne Crescent unit in Mount Waverley is linked to the alleged murders.
