Melania Trump's Inaugural Gown Donated to Smithsonian

On Friday at 11 a.m., First Lady Melania Trump presented her 2025 inaugural ball gown to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History at Flag Hall.
The Smithsonian's century-old practice of collecting inaugural attire forms the First Ladies Gallery, featuring 26 dresses, more than 160 additional objects, and about 1,000 objects overall.
Designer Hervé Pierre created the strapless off-white silk crepe column with black silk gazar, a replica 1955 Harry Winston brooch will be displayed, and First Lady Melania Trump wore a Bottega Veneta coat at the unveiling.
Museum officials said the donation makes the First Lady with two gowns in the Smithsonian, a milestone praised by Anthea Hartig and Dr. Lonnie G. Bunch III.
