Meghalaya Leaps Two Grades in PGI 2.0, Records One of India’s Sharpest Gains in School Education

Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui said the state’s PGI score rose nearly 31% in three years as school reforms improved governance and infrastructure.

Meghalaya has moved out of the lowest category in the Union government's Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2.0 for school education for the first time since the framework was introduced, recording one of the country's sharpest improvements.
