Mega Millions Jackpot Rises To $542 Million—Here’s What The Winner Could Take Home After Taxes
No ticket matched all six numbers, and the next winner could choose 30 annual payments or a $242 million cash option before taxes.
On Wednesday, the Mega Millions lottery jackpot climbed to $542 million after no tickets matched all six numbers drawn on Tuesday night, June 30, 2026.
The jackpot has been growing since March 17, 2026, when an Ohio player won $60 million, the last time anyone claimed the top prize.
Each $5 ticket includes an automatic multiplier that increases non-jackpot prizes up to 10 times the base amount, replacing the previous optional add-on.
An eventual winner may choose between 30 annual installments—each 5% higher than the previous—or a lump-sum cash payout of $242 million.
Drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m., with the next scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2026; players face 1 in 302,575,350 odds of winning.
