Medical helicopter lands on US 15 in Adams County following crash: dispatch

An Adams County roadway was closed after a medical helicopter landed on it around 4:15 p.m. to treat at least one crash patient, according to dispatch logs. Units were first dispatched around 3:45 p.m. to U.S. Route 15 South at the Taneytown Road exit, near Gettysburg, for a single-vehicle crash with two occupants. The driver was drifting in and out of consciousness at the time of the 911 call, which was made by the passenger.
