José David Martínez, the 56-year-old man who was found dead in a canal in Edinburg, drowned, according to the medical examination of the body, reported Monday the spokesman for the City of Edinburg, Roxanne Lerma. Martínez was found dead around 6:00 pm last Friday on a canal near the 2600 West block of the Sprague road. The man was last seen alive last Wednesday. It was not until Friday that the man was reported missing.
