Ceconomy, the group behind MediaMarkt and Saturn, saw growth in both turnover and profit this year. The electronics group wants to position itself explicitly as an "omnichannel service company" and already generates more than a quarter of its turnover online. The cards are therefore stacked in favor of the upcoming takeover by JD.com.
