Two Cobourg residents are facing charges after police responded to a report of a robbery.     On July 15, 2025, police responded to a report of a street-level robbery in the area of Swayne Street and McGill Street in Cobourg.  The victim reported having been assaulted by an individual, during which time a second person had taken money from her.  The suspects were known to the victim, who was able to provide police with their identities.
