McCleary City Council appoints new mayor

There were two rounds of applause during the city of McCleary’s Aug. 26 city council meeting: one following the unanimous vote to appoint Andrea Dahl, currently Mayor Pro Tem, as mayor, and the second following Clerk Treasurer Julie Pope administering the oath of office. Mayor Brycen Huff, who had only been in the role for seven months, resigned on July 29.
